This Christmas quilt has not been the quick and dirty project I'd originally anticipated, but I am so pleased with how the blocks are looking now that I have been trimming them up. (And thank goodness too, because I confess I really wasn't feeling the love for a while there!)
Meanwhile, we are up to our eyeballs this week in dance rehearsals for an end of year recital this weekend - Immy and Cole are both in 2 pieces for tap, and Immy also does another piece for ballet. And 4 lots of practices and dress rehearsals before hand. Fun fun fun...and now if you could please just let me know how come I ended up bringing home 15 costumes so that I could hand stitch on the braiding details...these costumes being for Immy's entire ballet class...and the same costume for which I just forked over $75 for materials and dressmaking!!! Enter the crazy...aka a sucker born every minute, ha!
I love to use this process too. I just finished placemats with the same concept only varing the direction of the strips and the width of my strips. How fun!

Thanks Sharon...I am thinking I will try my next string quilt using a muslin square in place of the paper since I found that quite hand-going, but I am loving the results!
