See this? This is what happens when you leave safety pins in a half-quilted quilt for nearly 7 years! There was obviously a pin or 2 in my stash at the time that weren't stainless steel, bugger. Thankfully I'm okay with 6 tiny rust marks (yep, 3 pins. Grr. They were immediately consigned to purgatory aka the bin!) on this particular quilt - it *works* okay with the colouring and style...but still, it's something I'd really like to avoid from here on out!
