In what seems like it should be enough time to acquire a tolerable mastery of ancient Greek, I have read about blog design until my brains ached (and eventually, just turned to custard and dribbled out of my ears) and still am none the wiser. I am trying to style the design of the blog up a little but honestly I feel like I understand the process less now than I did before...and I'm feeling all grumpity that I've spent all this time and achieved nothing but frustration. Anyone know of any tutorials or online help for typepad users who know a little but (clearly!) aren't designers or tech heads? Merci beaucoup.
Needless to say, my wee textile project that was to be photographed and completed for Kootoyou's creative space has not yet been touched.
I think designing a really styley blog using something like Typepad or Blogger is a LOT harder than it would first appear. I know I've fooled around with mine in bursts of manic energy lasting until the wee small hours and then retired, defeated by html and custard-brain. There are some good sites online for Blogger if you have the time to search for one post on one topic on one blog, and then another post on another topic on another blog that is! Actually it's not that bad but it still takes a hella lot of work. There are people who will juj up your blog with a bit of basic coding for reasonable prices I think - if all else fails!

Oh thank god it's not just me feeling discombobulated by the whole bloody thing! lol
I am starting to feel quite tempted by the the whole pay-someone-who-knows-what-they're-doing idea, but I really want to be able to figure this out myself. I am starting to think that perhaps typepad is not the right platform for me...it seems intended more for those who are at one with html etc. Case in point - I have had disqus embedded since about a week after you included it on your blog...and I *still* haven't figured out how to activate it! lol user error much?
