Here's a big-ass pile of big-ass blocks that are in the process of becoming a big-ass quilt for my big-ass bed.
And in other news, in the past 24 hours I have
~had a very interesting conversation with a small boy about the intersect between volcanoes, volcanic eruptions, and diarrhoea. Some knowledge may even have been imparted, but I'm not sure it was anything to get me nominated for sensible mother awards;
~been in at least 7 appointments with medical specialists - all of them in the comfort of my own home, all undertaken by disturbingly young doctors (and one dentist who didn't look once at teeth but did spend a rather alarming amount of time with a stethoscope and my kneecap);
~spent at least 2 hours on the floor near the loo keeping a small uncomfortable person company;
~wiped untold rear ends;
~destroyed at least 3 trees in the wiping of said rear ends;
~wondered whether we can scrape up enough cash to invest in toilet paper companies;
~swallowed 5 Imodiums;
~overseen 7 showers and 2 baths (not including my own);
~oh the laundry; and the floors and the mopping...
~mixed enerlyte/gastrolyte sachets into water a total of 13 times. Except nobody here calls it enerlyte. Or gastrolyte. Or electrolytic orange flavoured medicine. Because Immy coined a new name for it yesterday which made us all fall about laughing and the name has truly stuck. So, make that 13 sachets of stinky poop juice. Yep, we're all couth and decorum around us!
...so what have you guys been up to?
