Zack's quilt is finished and I think I burnt my eyeball...

...that about sums it up! lol

The quilt I was commissioned to make for a dear friend's nephew and godson is currently winging its way to Melbourne. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out...now I just need to figure out how to photograph it so the colours show accurately - it's not nearly so washed out as it appears here.

I added a little fun piecing to the make so that each side was presentable. And these pics are pre washing, but it was so lovely out of the washer and dryer, all crinkly soft quilty goodness!

...and I really do think I burnt my eyeball this morning driving home after dropping the kids off to school...how ridiculous is that?!? We were significantly earlier than usual (that is to say, on time!) and the sun was at the worst possible angle for the short drive home, with no way for me to avoid staring into its searing white abyss in attempts to not drive up the arse of the suv in front of me (or the logging truck beside me!) I'm trying to decide whether this damage is worthy of sympathy or pointing and mocking laughter...
