A lovely wee friend of Cole and Imogen's has just left on a 12 week trip with her family to the UK (and a bit of touring) and we wanted to mark the moment. I thought a Bon Voyage gift that might offer some entertainment during the travel was in order, and so these wee art books and a pencil/crayon/marker roll was born. Of course, I did it all supremely last minute, and didn't bother to do anything too technical - like measure the markers (insert headslap here) - so the fit is a little, shall we say, avant garde, but thankfully I think it still works!
Cole dedicated himself to marker and crayon placement, and Immy appointed herself chief-letter-sticker-on-er, even though I vetoed her choice of note for the second cover...I remain convinced that *dear Lucy I love you and I will miss you and I hope you have a good holiday and I want to you to come home soon to do ballet but you have to listen to Miss Samson and we can go to the hot pools together love from Imogen and also my brother Coley* wouldn't have fit with those big felt letters. That, and we only had 3 letters left over after *Lucy* and *friend*!
