RetroMummy's recent posts reminded me that I too had a knitted tee on the needles for Immy, that had ground to a premature halt way back in the Seychelles when I realised the second ball of yarn (Blue Sky organic cotton - yum!) had been packed on the boat. Duh. So last week I finally unpacked the box with the second ball (and one or two other things besides!) and finished the tee. The pattern is available here, though when I started it it was still available as a free pattern on the creator's blog. And since I had gotten as far as the sleeves when I ran out, I decided to wing it for the rest of the way. So it's a little different from the original - mostly in some increases in the body to be a little more flattering to toddler buddha belly! It's a gorgeously simple, quick knit, and I'm already thinking of ways I'll be further tweaking it for the next knit up. And I confess to a wee frisson of delight every time I saw my wee girl in something I'd made for her - that never gets old!
I'm afraid the action shot was the best I could do...yoghurt time is not to be messed with, mama!
What a beautiful layering piece for your little girl's wardrobe :)
